David W. Brown

(B. Comm. LLB)

David has been a Solicitor since 1977 when he graduated from the University of NSW with degrees in Law and Commerce. He founded David Brown & Partners in 1985, establishing a practice built on integrity, personalised service and strong client relationships. Originally based in Baulkham Hills, the firm now operates in Norwest Business Park, continuing to serve the local community and beyond.

 

David is particularly experienced in wills and estate planning, the administration of deceased estates and conveyancing. He is committed to delivering clear, practical legal advice and guiding clients through important life decisions with professionalism and care.

Ian C. Thompson

(BA LLB)

Ian was admitted as a Solicitor in 1978 after graduating from the University of Sydney in Arts and Law. He has practised extensively in the Hills District and has worked alongside David Brown for over 40 years, building a strong reputation for trusted legal advice and long-standing client relationships.

Ian provides professional, caring and prompt assistance across a broad range of areas including conveyancing, wills, powers of attorney, enduring guardianships, commercial leases, the sale and purchase of business, retirement law and family law. He is committed to delivering practical solutions and clear guidance tailored to each client’s individual needs.

Jodi O’Brien

(Paralegal)

With over 35 years of experience in the legal industry Jodi brings extensive knowledge and client-focused approach to every matter. Jodi has been proud to serve clients at David Brown & Partners for over 20 years with care and precision.

 

Jodi recently completed the Conveyancing Law and Practice course at Macquarie University, further strengthening her technical expertise and commitment to best practice in this ever-evolving area of law.

 

She is passionate about assisting clients through every stage of their property journey, taking the time to explain each step clearly and ensuring clients are informed and supported from contract date to completion.

Karen Brown

(Paralegal)

Karen brings almost 20 years of experience, reliability and a strong commitment to client service to the firm. She is often the first point of contact for clients and provides essential administrative support to David and Ian, ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice. Karen works closely with the conveyancing team and is conscious that purchasing or selling property is a significant and at times a stressful milestone for our clients. As a result Karen prides herself on being warm, approachable and someone who enjoys delivering an exceptional level of service.

Belinda Tombs

(Paralegal)

Belinda works closely with David providing dedicated support in all aspects of deceased estate administration including Probate and Letters of Administration matters. With over 20 years of experience in the legal industry, she brings extensive knowledge and practical expertise to the role.

Belinda understands that managing an estate can be an emotional and often overwhelming time for families and loved ones and she is committed to guiding clients through the process by combining efficiency with empathy.
